The Combat And Domestic Readjustment & Education Program is a new treatment protocol only offered through MEPs Counseling Services, Inc. CADRE combines MEPs treatment protocol for DVIP with the Veteran’s Administration’s treatment protocol for combat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. CADRE is currently under application to become a non-profit corporation and we are actively pursuing grants to fund this program. Until we secure funding, clients will be required to pay for services. However, we do offer a sliding fee scale for all clients who qualify. Any combat veteran whose PTSD is manifesting as domestic violence may qualify. We see both male and female veterans. If there is a need, we may open a significant other’s group for veterans as well.
"And although we may do our best to avoid trouble, sometimes trouble insists on finding us. When that happens, when the time for talk is over, warriors act. They flip the switch and act decisively -- ruthlessly if necessary -- to preserve and defend the things they hold dear.
And when the fight is over, they turn off the switch and continue to cherish the things they valued enough to defend. That’s what makes them warriors. And that’s what makes them the good guys."
