The mission of the CADRE Program is to provide combat veterans a treatment program that addresses combat post traumatic stress disorder that manifests in domestic violence. Once we receive funding, CADRE will cover the entire cost of services for any veteran who qualifies. Those veterans who do not qualify for 100% relief, will be provided services at half cost.

CADRE will hire someone to write a treatment protocol for male veterans first. Development of a training program for providers will follow. Once this is completed, CADRE will write a treatment protocol for female veterans, with a training program to follow.

Finally, CADRE will address the needs of the family unit, and write a protocol and training to address these needs. While CADRE is paying for a veteran’s treatment in group, CADRE will act as a case manager to ensure the veteran is connected to other service providers as applicable.

CADRE also offers a comprehensive evaluation of combat post traumatic stress disorder, appropriate for compensation and pension hearings. Individual and family therapy will be provided on a case by case basis.

CADRE will expand services throughout the state of Oregon and southwestern Washington. CADRE will provide training seminars to providers in other states upon request.

Once CADRE has a population of 100 clients enrolled in the program, they will coordinate with Portland State University, Graduate School of Social Work on research to determine the efficacy of the CADRE protocols.
